The new three-door models inherit the style of five-door 1 Series with the only change worth mentioning as wider doors with frameless windows. Exterior dimensions are the same as the model 5d in 4324 mm (170.2-in.) Long, 1765 mm (69.5 in) wide and 1421 mm high with a wheelbase of 2690 mm (55.9 in.) ( 105.9-in).
BMW said that compared with the previous 1-series, new car offers more rear legroom (+21 mm) and larger 30 liter trunk with a total volume of 360lt.
