Today, BMW announced the availability of a new line of Performance Parts Series 3-2012 M for the latest and the 2011-2012 5-Series sedan in the U.S. market. The range consists of a chassis, aerodynamics, cockpit, and powertrain components.
Starting with the wheel, M Performance Parts catalog includes 20-inch forged alloy rims for the latest 3-Series and 5-Series models, the company says is 1kg (2.4 lbs) per wheel lighter than standard wheels the same size.
To improve braking performance, there is a big Brembo brake kit with calipers, painted red, yellow or orange, and sports brake discs measuring 370 x 30 mm on the front wheel and 345 x 24 mm on the rear axle.
For turbocharged six-cylinder 335i and 535i sedan, BMW offers a sport exhaust system complete with two chrome-plated tailpipes 80 mm.
Outside, M Performance Parts catalog including high-gloss black kidney grille and carbon fiber mirror caps for both 3 - and 5-Series model, racing stripes for the Series 3 -, and carbon fiber rear deck lid spoiler for 5 sedan series.
There are various interior items such as flat bottom, the motor sport-inspired wheels, steering for the 3-Series Alcantara, carbon fiber and Alcantara trim seven-part interior set for both the sedan, and the carbon fiber and the gearshift selector lever for vehicles with manual or automatic transmission .
BMW noted that all the parts come with a factory warranty.
